Questions, answered

What is Kwipps for hotels?

A website for your hotel with a booking tool on it, and one console for the desk, the rooms, the prices and the bill. We build the website first, free; you choose a plan only if you want it live.

Is it worth it for three rooms?

The price is per business, not per room: the same for three rooms or thirty. If you already have a website, the Tools plan runs the rooms and the booking page without a new one.

Can the Wi-Fi and the house rules reach guests by themselves?

Yes. Write the Wi-Fi, how to get in after hours and the house rules once, in Policies; they go to each guest in the email the day before arrival.

Do I pay anything before I see my website?

No. We build your website first and you try it — the console included. You only choose a plan if you want to go live.

How quickly do I see something?

The demo website arrives by email 1–3 minutes after you send the form. Going live starts when you choose a plan and an address.

Is there a commission on bookings?

No. Bookings come from your own website, and the price is the plan. There is no booking platform in between taking a share.

Do card payments cost extra?

Kwipps takes nothing from a payment. Deposits go through Stripe, whose own fee applies, and TWINT is offered where the account has it. Deposits start once a plan is chosen: a preview never takes real money.

Does it connect to Booking.com and Airbnb?

By calendar: Kwipps reads each room's calendar from those sites and publishes its own, so a room booked there is blocked here within the hour and the other way round. Prices are not sent; you set them on each site. A full connection to Booking.com's system is a later step.

What about the tourist tax and VAT?

You set the tourist tax per person per night; it is added to every booking and shown apart. Prices include VAT, and the invoice shows the VAT contained at the Swiss rates — 3.8% on lodging, 8.1% on extras — when you are registered.

Can my staff log in?

Yes. The Business plan includes 3 logins and Pro has no limit. Each person has their own sign-in, and you can remove it at any time.

Can I see it working first?

Yes. Hotel Ambrosine is our demo hotel, with invented rooms and guests: open its website and look at the booking tool the way a guest would.

What happens if I cancel?

Plans are monthly. Cancel and your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for. Your domain and your content are yours.
