Is there an API for my bookings?

Yes — on the Tools, Business and Pro plans, keys created under Console › Settings › Developers let another website read your times, menu and events and send bookings, and let your own server manage bookings and receive webhooks.

The API is for whoever builds your other website or your own systems. The full documentation, with every route, is public: the restaurant API and the hotel API.

Create a key

  1. Go to Console › Settings › Developers. A manager sees the section, but only the owner can create keys.
  2. Choose the kind of key: Publishable — for a web page (it can only read your public information and send booking requests, from the websites you name) or Secret — for your own server (it can also list, take, confirm, move and cancel bookings).
  3. Fill in What it's for and, for a publishable key, The website it will be used on, and press Create a key.
  4. The key is shown once. Copy it somewhere safe; if it is lost, revoke it and make another.

Webhooks

In the same section, add Your server's address and the events it wants, and press Add the webhook. Kwipps then tells your server when a booking is requested, confirmed, declined, put on the waiting list, moved, cancelled or marked a no-show, and when an order is paid — and, for a hotel, each step of a stay. Send a test event checks it arrives.
