How does online check-in work, and where is the registration form?

Every confirmed guest gets a link to fill in the registration form (Meldeschein) before arriving; you see "Registered" on Today and print the form from the stay.

Swiss hotels must register every guest. Kwipps lets the guest do it from their own phone before they arrive, so there is nothing to fill in at the desk.

What the guest does

  1. When a stay is confirmed, the confirmation email carries a link to check in online. The arrival email the day before carries it again if they have not done it yet.
  2. The link opens their own booking page, with the form: surname, first name, date of birth, nationality, home address, country of residence, passport or identity card and its number, and the people travelling with them.
  3. They tick that the details are correct and press send. The form is in their language (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese).

What you see

  1. Under Console › Today, an arriving guest who has filled in the form carries a Registered tag.
  2. Open the stay: The guest shows the details they gave, with the date they filled it in and the name they signed with. You can correct any field and press Save the guest.
  3. For a guest who has not filled it in, type the details yourself at check-in in the same place.
  1. Open the stay from Console › Stays or Console › Today.
  2. Press Console › Stays › Print › The registration form. The form opens in a new window, ready to print or save as a PDF, with blank lines for anything missing. A form filled in online says so where the signature would go.
