How do I confirm or decline a booking request?

Tap Confirm or Decline in the email Kwipps sends you, or press them under Console › Today › Requests waiting — the room is held for the guest until you answer.

Updated 27 September 2026

Unless you switch on confirming at once, a stay booked on your website is a request: the guest asked, and nothing is promised until you answer. The room is held for them meanwhile, so nobody else can take it.

Answer from the email

  1. Each request arrives by email with the dates, the room type, the guests, the total and how many rooms of that type are still free.
  2. Tap Confirm or Decline. Each link works once. The guest is emailed your answer at once.
  3. If the room has gone in the meantime (for example the same room was booked on Booking.com), the link says so and suggests declining or moving another stay first.

Answer from the console

  1. Go to Console › Today › Requests waiting. The card only shows when a request is waiting.
  2. Press Confirm or Decline. When you decline, you can add a word for the guest.
  3. You can also open the stay from Console › Stays (a request is drawn with a dashed outline on the calendar) and answer there.

Confirming posts the room, the tourist tax and any extras to the stay's bill, and sends the guest their confirmation with a link to their own page, where they can check in online.

Let free rooms confirm themselves

In Console › Policies › Confirming and paying, tick Confirm at once when a room is free and press Save policies. A website booking for a room that is free is then booked the moment the guest asks, and you receive an email saying so. The button on your website then reads "Book this stay" instead of "Request this stay".
