Can guests pay a deposit by card or TWINT?

Yes, on the Tools, Business and Pro plans — the guest pays on a Stripe page from their confirmation or their own booking page, TWINT included in Swiss francs, and the payment appears on the bill by itself.

Online payments come with the Tools, Business and Pro plans. A preview never takes real money: until you choose a plan, the guest's page says no card is charged, and you take the deposit however you usually take money.

How a guest pays

  1. When the stay is confirmed and your policies ask for a deposit, the confirmation email and the guest's own page carry a "Pay now by card" button.
  2. It opens a secure payment page run by Stripe. In Swiss francs it offers TWINT as well as cards, whenever the account offers it.
  3. When the payment goes through, a "Deposit by card" line appears on the stay's bill, and Console › Today shows the arriving guest as Paid instead of Deposit due.

A payment link works for 24 hours; the guest's page makes a fresh one whenever they come back to it.

Ask for a deposit yourself

  1. Open the stay from Console › Stays.
  2. Under The bill, press the button that emails a card link. You can change the amount before it goes.
  3. The guest receives the link by email. If the email cannot be sent, the console shows you the link to pass on yourself.
