How do I issue an invoice with a Swiss QR-bill?

Add your IBAN under Console › Policies › Getting paid, then press "Issue the invoice" on the stay — the invoice carries the VAT contained and, for anything still due, a QR-bill with its own reference.

Updated 27 September 2026

The invoice is made from the stay's bill. It shows every line, the payments, the balance due and — if you are VAT registered — the VAT contained at each rate.

Before your first invoice

  1. Under Console › Policies › Taxes, tick VAT registered if you are, and fill in your VAT number. The rates are 3.8% on lodging and 8.1% on extras unless you change them. Lines posted before you tick the box carry no VAT.
  2. Under Console › Policies › Where bookings are sent, and the bill, choose your Invoice number prefix. Invoices are numbered prefix, year and number: INV-2026-0001, INV-2026-0002…
  3. Under Console › Policies › Getting paid, fill in your IBAN for bank transfers: a Swiss or Liechtenstein IBAN (21 characters, starting CH or LI). A QR-IBAN works too.
  4. Press Save policies.

Issue the invoice

  1. Open the stay from Console › Stays.
  2. Under The bill, press Issue the invoice. The invoice opens in a new window, ready to print or save as a PDF, and the number is given to it.
  3. Pressing the button again later opens the same invoice with the same number, updated with anything added since.

The QR-bill

When there is a balance due and you have given an IBAN, the foot of the invoice carries a Swiss QR-bill for that amount, with its own payment reference built from the invoice number (with a QR-IBAN, the invoice number goes in the message instead). It needs your hotel's postcode and town under Console › Settings › Name and address, and the currency must be CHF or EUR.
