How do I set prices and rate plans for my hotel?

Each room type has a base price per night; rate plans change it for a kind of booking — a non-refundable rate at a discount, breakfast included — and you add them under Console › Rates.

Updated 27 September 2026

Prices in Kwipps are built in three layers: the base price of the room type (set under Console › Rooms), the price calendar for particular days, and rate plans on top. Prices include VAT; the tourist tax is added on top.

Without any rate plan

If you add no rate plan, every stay is booked at the price of the day, is flexible (cancellation follows your policy) and is paid at the hotel. Many small hotels never need more.

Add a rate plan

  1. Go to Console › Rates › Add a rate plan. The first plan is suggested as "Flexible", the second as "Non-refundable" at 10% less, paid in full when booking.
  2. Give it a Name and One line for the guest ("Free cancellation until 2 days before").
  3. Change the price with Price change % (for example -10), ± per night, or Per person per night for a price that grows with each guest.
  4. Set a Minimum stay if this rate needs one, and Free cancellation until (days) if it differs from your hotel's rule (leave it empty to use the rule under Policies).
  5. Choose when it is Paid: At the hotel / deposit, or In full when booking.
  6. Tick Refundable or leave it off for a non-refundable rate, tick Breakfast included if it is, and Not offered online to keep a rate for the desk only.
  7. Press Save rate plans.

How the price of a night is worked out

For each night Kwipps takes the room type's price on that day (the base price, or the one you set on the price calendar), applies the rate plan's percentage, adds its amount per night and its amount per person, and rounds to five centimes. The guest chooses the rate on the booking form and sees the total before sending.
