How does the waiting list work?
When you are full, answer a request with "Not yet" on Console › Tonight — the guest is told you will email if a table comes free, and "A table came free" confirms them later.

A full evening does not have to mean a flat no. The waiting list keeps a request open while you see whether a table comes free.
Put a request on the list
- On Console › Tonight, find the request (marked Needs you).
- Press Not yet. The guest is emailed that you are full and that you will write if a table comes free. The card is marked On the list, and the number on the list is shown at the top of the day.
When a table comes free
- Press A table came free on their card. The booking is confirmed and the guest is emailed, as with any confirmation.
- If nothing comes free, press Decline, and they are told.
